> Cookies
We use one cookie: theme. It stores your preferred color theme
(e.g. "midnight-cobalt", "dracula", "nord"). It expires in one year. It contains
no personal information. It is HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax.
The blog may set a session cookie (opseq_theme) for the same purpose.
This is a PHP session cookie that stores nothing besides the theme name and a CSRF token.
We do not use:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, etc.)
- Tracking cookies (Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- Advertising cookies
- Session fingerprinting cookies
> JavaScript
The main site and blog use zero JavaScript. All functionality works without JS.
The Discord client (/discord/) and embed generator (/embedgen/)
do use JavaScript, but those are separate tools. The main site never loads JS.
> Server Logs
Your hosting provider (the server this site runs on) may keep standard access logs
containing IP addresses, request times, and user agents. This is standard server
behavior and we have no control over it. We do not access, read, or use these logs.
If you want to avoid IP logging entirely, access this site via Tor or a VPN.
> Third-Party Services
We do not embed or load any third-party content:
- No Google Fonts (we use system fonts)
- No CDN-hosted libraries
- No embedded YouTube/Vimeo players
- No social media widgets
- No Disqus or comment systems that phone home
- No Cloudflare (we serve directly)
Image assets (88x31 buttons) are hosted on our own server. They are not
loaded from third-party domains.
> Comments
The blog has a comment system. If you post a comment, the following data is stored
on our server in a plain text file:
- The name you enter (can be anything)
- Your comment text
- The timestamp
- A random session ID (to prevent double-voting)
No email address is collected. No IP address is stored. No Gravatar is loaded.
Comments are stored as JSON lines in files on our server, not in a database.
> Your Rights
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing for you to request, delete,
or export. You can clear the theme cookie at any time by clearing your browser's
cookies for this domain.
